Bai Yingfei, Li Kunlin, Ke Jing, and Wang Jingting are the four female soldiers of the 19th Chinese peacekeeping construction engineer contingent to Lebanon. They are the battlefield roses on the Mediterranean Sea with heroic brilliance of Chinese female peacekeepers.

Bai Yingfei is a female soldier enlisted in 2019. As a medical peacekeeper, she is greatly trusted by her fellows. When peacekeepers feel something is wrong with them, Bai Yingfei can always treat them in a timely and effective manner. She often writes the precautions on a small note and provides it for the sick peacekeepers along with the medicine.

Unlike Bai Yingfei, who has a gentle personality, Li Kunlin usually shows more fortitude. In the mission area where the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading and social conditions are complicated, Li, as a construction operator, has eliminated potential risks many times with strong capabilities when performing tasks. She looked proud when speaking of those experiences: "As a soldier, you have to stand up to challenges and constantly improve yourself in accomplishing designated tasks."

Ke Jing, who likes to sing and dance, is diligent and eager to learn during her work. To be qualified for the post of "backup translator" in the foreign affairs team, after finishing her daily work and training, she usually translated and studied the foreign affairs materials of the peacekeeping team in previous years and memorized key content repeatedly. To practice her spoken English, she often ran to the foreign affairs office to assist translators with their work. She took the initiative to participate in the translation work when receiving a surprise inspection by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Her excellent performance was praised by foreign parties.

Wang Jingting, a careful female peacekeeper, is responsible for checking the network and repairing communication equipment. The wire disconnection during heavy rainfall in the Chinese camp sometimes hinders the connection between peacekeepers and their families. Wang would always check and repair the network as soon as possible.

The situation in the mission area has always been very severe. In addition to being prepared to respond to emergencies such as terrorist attacks, some potential risks around the camp are also security risks that cannot be underestimated. It is necessary to ensure that the surveillance cameras are in a normal state 24 hours a day. For this reason, Wang has always treated her work patiently and meticulously. When she encounters a problem, she will write it down in a notebook and carefully seek the solution by herself. She has become an expert on network technology in the camp.

The four Chinese "battlefield roses" in the peacekeeping contingent are safeguarding peace with their practical actions and writing a new chapter of youth with their dedication.
