Highlights of China's first aircraft carrier Liaoning in 9 years

BEIJING, Sept. 26 -- On September 25, 2012, China's first aircraft carrier was delivered and commissioned to the PLA Navy. It was named "Liaoning" with hull number "16". On November 23, 2012, China’s self-developed carrier-based fighter jet, J-15, successfully landed on the deck of Liaoning, marking the Chinese Navy’s official entry into an era of aircraft carrier.
