近日，中国外交部发布了《美国对华认知中的谬误和事实真相》，揭露了美国近年来捏造的关于中国、中美关系及美国对华政策的21项谬误及事实真相。这些谬误严重违背事实和常识，可以说是赤裸裸的谎言，但美国却乐此不疲，并基于这些谎言推行其对华政策。这些谎言暴露了美国的多重图谋。

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China recently released "Falsehoods in US Perceptions of China". It exposed 21 falsehoods about China, China-US relations and US policy towards China fabricated by the US in recent years. These falsehoods are nothing but blatant lies , all contrary to facts and common sense. However, the US is not tired of it and pursues its China policy based on these lies. These lies expose the multiple conspiracies of the US.

首先，对中国实施污名化战略，企图在道义上将中国打倒。

First, the US implements a stigmatization strategy against China, attempting to bring China down morally.

美国近年来所编造的涉华谎言，如污蔑中国政府在新疆搞“强迫劳动”“种族灭绝”，妄称中国政府在香港“压制自由”等，均严重违背事实，甚至是基本常识。但这种谎言一出笼便在美西方舆论的配合下，引发轩然大波，成为美西方反华势力攻击中国的“论据”。

The China-related lies concocted by the US in recent years, such as slandering the Chinese government for "forced labor" and "genocide" in Xinjiang, and falsely claiming that the Chinese government is "suppressing freedom" in Hong Kong, all run counter to the facts and even basic common sense. However, as soon as this lie came out, it caused an uproar with the cooperation of the US-led Western public opinion and was used as an "argument" by the anti-China forces in the US and the West to attack China.

其次，出于对中国恶意竞争和打压的需要。

Second, the US aims to carry out malicious competition and suppression against China.

美国所编造的涉华谎言只是手段，而非目的。如美国所捏造的关于“中国规避或违反贸易规则，通过经济操纵让美国工人失去数百万份工作，伤害美国和全球的工人和公司”“中国利用美国经济开放性从事间谍、黑客、技术窃密等活动，来推进自身军事创新、强化对内监控，加大其他国家对其技术依赖”等谎言，完全是为了对中国发动贸易战、实施科技脱钩等制造借口。“美国的外交以伙伴关系和尊重彼此利益为基础，中国则对别国实施胁迫外交，肆意进行打击报复”等谎言，则是为了破坏中国的国际声誉和形象，并将美国包装成“救世主”“规则维护者”，进而与中国进行不正当竞争。

The China-related lies fabricated by the US are just a means, not an end. Lies such as "China is circumventing or breaking trade rules and its economic manipulations have cost American workers millions of jobs, harming workers and companies in the US and around the world" and "China takes advantage of the openness of the US economies to spy, to hack, to steal technology and know-how to advance China's military innovation, entrench its surveillance state and increase other countries' technological dependence on it" fabricated by the US aim to create excuses for launching a trade war against China and implement ing decoupling of science and technology. Lies such as "the US diplomacy is based on partnership and respect for each other's interests, while China practices coercive diplomacy against other countries and retaliates recklessly" are intended to damage China's international reputation and image and portray the US as a "savior" and "defender", thereby conducting unfair competition with China.

第三，为离间中国与他国关系、破坏中国的外交布局而撒谎。

Third, the US tell lies in order to drive a wedge between China and other countries and undermine China's diplomatic layout.

近年来，为离间中国与周边国家、伊斯兰国家等的关系，进而破坏中国的外交布局，美国多番编造关于中国的谎言。如妄称中国“要在太平洋地区建立一个势力范围，在南海推进非法海洋活动，破坏和平与安全、航行自由及商业活动”，污蔑中国对本国境内的伊斯兰教及其场所、人员进行不正当打压。然而事实是，真正要在亚太地区建立势力范围、维护一己霸权的不是中国，而是美国；真正对国内穆斯林实施各种歧视并肆意杀害他国穆斯林民众的也是美国。显然，为了离间中国与他国的关系，甚至破坏中国的外交布局，美国已经无所不用其极。

In recent years, the US has repeatedly fabricated lies about China in order to divide China with neighboring countries and Islamic countries, and undermine China's diplomatic layout. For example, the US falsely claimed that "China has announced its ambition to create a sphere of influence in the Pacific region. It is advancing unlawful maritime claims in the South China Sea, undermining peace and security, freedom of navigation and commerce". It also slandered China of exerting improper suppression against Islam, mosques and Muslims within its territory. However, the fact is that it is not China, but the US, that really wants to establish a sphere of influence in the Asia-Pacific region and maintain its own hegemony. It is also the US that is really discriminating against Muslims in the US and wantonly killing Muslims in other countries. Obviously, the US has done everything possible to alienate China with other countries, and even undermine China's diplomatic layout.

美国热衷编造涉华谎言，也暴露了其长期以来在国际事务中的霸权心态和双重标准。近年来，美国多番编造“中国利用美国经济开放性从事间谍、黑客、技术窃密等活动”的谎言，事实是美国经常通过刺探情报、吸引移民、垄断专利等手段窃取他国的知识产权和先进技术。然而，美国从来不承认自己的卑鄙行为，即便是像“斯诺登事件”那样被彻底曝光或被抓了现行，也会百般狡辩。这实质上反映了美国的霸权心态和双重标准，即美国自认有权对他国进行各种监听、监控和偷窃，但别国就不行。

Fabricating lies about China exposes the long-term hegemonic mentality and double standards of the US in international affairs. In recent years, the US has repeatedly fabricated the lie that "China takes advantage of the openness of the US economies to spy, to hack, to steal technology and know-how to advance China’s military innovation". The truth is that the US often steals other countries' intellectual property and advanced technology by spying on intelligence, attracting immigrants, and monopolizing patents. However, it has never admitted its despicable behavior. Even if it is completely exposed or caught red-handed, like the "Snowden incident", it still denies everything. This essentially reflects the hegemonic mentality and double standards of the US, who arrogantly believes that it has the right to conduct various monitoring, surveillance, and theft of other countries, but other countries cannot do that.

然而，事实胜于雄辩，谎言掩盖不了真相，也无法蒙蔽世人。美国肆意编造涉华谎言，只会损害美国自身的国际信誉，让美国成为世界各国眼中的“谎言机器”,沦为国际社会的笑柄。

However, facts speak louder than words, and lies cannot cover up the truth or deceive the world. Fabricating lies about China will only damage the US's own international credibility, making the US a "lie machine" in the eyes of the world and a laughingstock of the international community.
