美国国会众议长佩洛西不顾中方严正交涉和坚决反对，执意窜访中国台湾地区，严重违反一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，严重冲击中美关系政治基础，严重破坏中美两国两军关系。

In disregard of China’s strong opposition and serious representations, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi visited China’s Taiwan region. This is a serious violation of the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-US joint communiqués. It has a severe impact on the political foundation of China-US relations and seriously jeopardizes the relations between the two countries and the two militaries.

美方此举向“台独”分裂势力释放严重错误信号，进一步加剧了台海紧张局势升级。这是极端错误的，也是非常危险的。中国人民解放军高度戒备，将展开一系列针对性军事行动予以反制，坚决捍卫国家主权和领土完整，坚决挫败外部势力干涉和“台独”分裂图谋。

Pelosi’s visit sends a seriously wrong signal to the separatist forces for “Taiwan independence”, and escalates tensions across the Taiwan Strait. It is an extremely wrong and dangerous move. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is on high alert and will carry out a series of targeted military operations in response. Chinese military will firmly defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and resolutely defeat external forces’ interference and the separatist attempts for “Taiwan independence”.

台湾问题的历史经纬明明白白，两岸同属一个中国的事实和现状清清楚楚。世界上只有一个中国，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分，中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府。一个中国原则是国际社会的广泛共识，也是联合国大会第2758号决议确认的国际关系准则。

The historical ins and outs of the Taiwan question are crystal clear, and so are the fact and status quo that both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one and the same China. There is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. The one-China principle is a universal consensus of the international community and a basic norm in international relations clearly recognized by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758.

台湾是中国一部分、两岸同属一个中国的历史和法理事实，是任何人任何势力都无法改变的；两岸同胞都是中国人，血浓于水、守望相助的天然情感和民族认同，是任何人任何势力都无法改变的。

The historical and legal fact that Taiwan is part of China and both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one and the same China is not to be changed by anyone or any force. Compatriots living across the Strait are all Chinese people, whose instinct to help and support each other, inherent bond and national identification cannot be changed by anyone or any force.

台湾问题是中美关系中最重要、最核心、最敏感的问题。中美三个联合公报是双方的政治承诺，一个中国原则是中美关系的政治基础。美国在台湾问题上向中方作出过郑重承诺，但在行动中却不断提升美台实质关系和官方往来，纵容支持“台独”分裂势力，搞“以台制华”，严重损害台海和平稳定。

The Taiwan question is the most important and sensitive issue at the very heart of China-US relations. The three China-US joint communiqués are political commitments made by both sides, and the one-China principle is the political foundation of China-US relations. In words, the US side made solemn commitments to China on the Taiwan question, but in action, it has constantly upgraded the substantial relations and official exchanges with the Taiwan region, connived at and supported “Taiwan independence” separatist forces, and contained China with Taiwan, gravely undermining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

佩洛西一意孤行、恣意妄为，是美国对中国作出“四不一无意”严肃政治承诺的背信弃义。

Pelosi’s willful visit to Taiwan in defiance of China’s strong and repeated opposition is a downright breach of America’s solemn political commitment of “five assurances” to China i.e., the US does not seek a new Cold War with China; it does not aim to change China’s system; the revitalization of its alliances is not targeted at China; the US does not support “Taiwan independence”; and it has no intention to seek a conflict with China.

美台勾连挑衅在先，中方正当防卫在后。中方采取任何反制措施都是正当的、合理的和必要的，这也是任何一个独立主权国家应有的权利。我们绝不允许任何人、任何组织、任何政党、在任何时候、以任何形式、把任何一块中国领土从中国分裂出去，谁都不要指望我们会吞下损害我国主权、安全、发展利益的苦果。

China’s legitimate defensive actions come after the collusion and provocation by the US and the Taiwan region. Any countermeasure taken by China is rightful, reasonable, and necessary. It is the due right of any independent, sovereign state. China will not allow any individual, organization, or political party to sever any part of Chinese territory from the country at any time, in any form. No one should damage our sovereignty, security and development interests and expect us to swallow the bitter fruit.

中国必须统一，也必然统一，这是不可阻挡的历史大势。坚决维护国家主权和领土完整是14亿多中国人民的坚定意志，实现祖国完全统一是全体中华儿女的共同心愿和神圣职责。民意不可违，大势不可逆。美国反华势力和台湾民进党当局无论采取什么行径，都无法改变台湾是中国一部分的事实。佩洛西之流无论以什么方式“挺台遏华”，都无法阻挡中国统一的历史进程。任何逆历史潮流而动、企图拿台湾问题做文章、危害中国主权和领土完整的错误行径注定不会得逞，必将自食其果。

China must be and will be reunified. That is the unstoppable historical trend. It is the firm commitment of the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people to resolutely safeguard state sovereignty and territorial integrity. It is the common aspiration and sacred responsibility of all Chinese sons and daughters to realize the complete reunification of the motherland. The will of the people is not to be defied, and the trend of the times cannot be reversed. Whatever moves the American anti-China forces and the Taiwan Democratic Progressive Party authorities take, they will not change the fact that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. No matter how Pelosi and her likes “bolster Taiwan to contain China”, they cannot stop the historical process of China’s reunification. Any wrong move against the historical trend to play the Taiwan card and endanger China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is doomed to fail. Anyone who dares to make such an attempt will fret in his own grease.

一个中国原则不可撼动，中国主权和领土完整不容侵犯。坚决捍卫国家主权和领土完整，是人民军队的神圣使命。中国人民解放军全时待战、随时能战，有坚定的意志、充分的信心、足够的能力挫败任何形式的外部势力干涉和“台独”分裂图谋，坚定维护台海地区和平稳定。我军将在台岛周边开展一系列联合军事行动，这是针对美近期在台湾问题上消极举动重大升级采取的严正震慑，是对“台独”势力谋“独”行径的严重警告。全军官兵严阵以待、听令而战、不辱使命，做好随时应对各种复杂困难局面的充分准备，确保召之即来、来之能战、战之必胜。

The one-China principle is unshakable. China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are inviolable. Resolutely safeguarding state sovereignty and territorial integrity is the PLA’s sacred mission. The PLA is always on our toes and ready to fight any minute. It has the firm will, full confidence, and sufficient capacity to frustrate external forces’ interference and the separatist plot for “Taiwan independence” in any form, and to maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. The PLA will carry out a series of joint military actions around the Taiwan island as a solemn deterrence to Washington’s recent substantial upgrade of its passive moves on the Taiwan question, and a stern warning to the separatist actions by “Taiwan independence” forces. All PLA officers and soldiers are combat-ready, will act on order, and will live up to their mission. Fully prepared to cope with various complicated and difficult situations at all times, they are ready to go, able to fight, and capable of winning the final victory.
