Chinese navy ship Nanning concludes trip to NAVDEX 2023 in Abu Dhabi

PLA Navy's guided-missile destroyer Nanning sits in the port for the Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2023.

BEIJING, Feb.28 -- The PLA Navy's guided-missile destroyer Nanning left Mina Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on the morning of February 25, concluding its participation in the Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) held there.

More than 1300 enterprises from over 70 countries, including China, participated in the defense exhibition. During the event, the ship Nanning held friendly exchange activities like seminars and mutual visits with the UAE Navy and participating vessels of various countries, as well as an open day event for the public.

During the open day event, the ship Nanning received more than 2,000 foreigners and overseas Chinese. Sailors onboard guided their tour warmly and conducted on-site interactive activities.

The NAVDEX, Abu Dhabi, started in 1993 and has been held every two years as scheduled. After the defense exhibition, members of the UAE Navy, local residents, staff of the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, and representatives of Chinese institutions and overseas Chinese saw off the ship Nanning, which set sail for the Gulf of Aden to continue its 43th naval escort mission.
