BEIJING, Nov. 6 -- The 44th Chinese naval escort taskforce wrapped up its goodwill visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and left Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi on November 3. During the visit, troops of the two countries visited each other's military facilities, and the Chinese guided-missile destroyer Zibo held a deck reception.

After leaving the port, the Chinese taskforce conducted a joint maritime exercise, including joint search and rescue and formation maneuver with the UAE Navy's frigates Baynunah and Mezyad in nearby waters.

So far, the 44th Chinese naval escort taskforce has successfully completed its goodwill visits to four Middle Eastern countries including Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
