BEIJING, Dec.19 -- Recently, a medical team of the PLA Strategic Support Force's Characteristic Medical Center came to Ejine People's Hospital in Ejine Banner of Alxa League, North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, to offer pairing medical assistance.
Ejine Banner is located at the westernmost end of Inner Mongolia. Due to limitations in medical conditions and technological level, local residents have long faced the difficulty in getting medical services. To address the problem, the PLA Strategic Support Force's Characteristic Medical Center signed a five-year pairing assistance agreement with the local government in 2022.
After arrival, the medical experts adopted various modes including special lectures, case studies, and ward rounds for teaching to elucidate professional knowledge to local medical staff. Besides, specific cases have been utilized to popularize disease prevention knowledge and impart basic medical and nursing skills to help the local population improve health protection.
To be specific, the experts have guided the medical personnel of the Ejine People's Hospital in carrying out globe rupture repair surgery for patients, as well as initiating painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination and treatment. They also went to multiple agricultural and pastoral areas for itinerant visits, vigorously carrying out pairing assistance in diagnosis and treatment.
The medical team provided valuable opinions and suggestions for the development of the Ejine People's Hospital to facilitate its progress in discipline and medical technology.
