BEIJING, Apr. 12 -- According to annual work schedule, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense held an international security cooperation seminar on April 12, said Chinese Defense Spokesperson Senior Colonel Wu Qian at a regular press briefing on Friday.
The seminar was held at the International College of Defense Studies with the National Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Military attaches from foreign embassies in China and European Union (EU) military representatives in China attended the event.
In the form of themed presentation, discussion and exchange, the seminar, with leaders and experts from relevant military and civilian units being invited, introduced the major concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the global security initiative, as well as the guiding principles of China's "two sessions" this year, China's national defense policy, and the protection of the rights and interests of Chinese veterans.
Moreover, discussions and exchanges were also conducted on topics such as "international strategic situation and global security initiative", "Sino-foreign exchanges and cooperation in military training, education and other fields", and "ways to tackle global security challenges by strengthening international military cooperation".
