At 9 p.m., June 6, as a result of heavy rainfall, debris flows hit Gutian Town, Shanghang County of Longyan City, Fujian Province. The PAP Longyan Detachment sent a 25-member rescue team to the Gutian Town without delay.
As some road sections got destroyed by floods and mudslides, rescue vehicles could not reach the stricken areas. The 25 armed policemen walked about 5 km to rush to a flooded village, and by 11 p.m., they successfully evacuated more than 20 villagers to safe areas.
