HONG KONG, Nov. 26 -- A naval fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) left Hong Kong for Zhanjiang City on Monday afternoon after completing a series of activities during its visit to Hong Kong.
At 3 p.m., a farewell ceremony was held at the Ngong Shuen Chau military port of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison. About 700 people attended the ceremony.
During its visit, around 15,000 people boarded the warships for visit, including Hong Kong and Macao citizens and the troops of the PLA Hong Kong and Macao garrisons. The naval fleet organized a series of activities including deck receptions, ship open days, defense knowledge lectures, and cultural exchanges.
