HAIKOU, Mar. 23 (ChinaMil) -- Reporters with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Daily learned on March 23 from the Staff Department of the PLA Navy that the Chinese Navy will conduct combat drills in the waters of the South China Sea recently.

In order to resolutely implement President Xi's training mobilization order, the PLA Navy will conduct combat drills in the waters of the South China Sea recently, according to the Staff Department of the PLA Navy.

It is a routine arrangement within the PLA Navy's annual plan and it aims to test and improve the troops' training level and comprehensively enhance the capability to win, said the PLA Navy's Staff Department, adding that it is not aimed at any specific country or target.
